Refund policy

cauw is an independent jewelry studio with a very small staff dedicated to providing quality service and memorable handmade pieces using gemstones sourced in-house. any component purchased premade will be noted on the individual listing. for more information on sourcing please reach out.

exchanges and returns

cauw accepts returns and exchanges for most items so long as the following conditions are met:

  • the buyer must contact us within 7 days of receiving the purchase via email or via our returns form. please provide your order number, photos of the item, and a detailed description
  • approval is necessary before sending back any item
  • upon approval, we will send a complimentary electronic domestic return shipping label to the email attached to the order
  • please include all original packaging. we recommend re-packaging as you received the items to ensure they are properly padded to prevent any damage in transit
  • returns must be mailed within 7 days of receiving your USPS return shipping label. Returns mailed more than 7 days after the date of your return confirmation will not be accepted without prior authorization from our team
  • initial shipping fees and any duty taxes paid will not be refunded. 
  • if a promotion or discount has been applied to the order, the refund amount will not exceed the amount paid
  • please note: cauw studio is not responsible for any damage caused to an item by the wearer and we reserve the right to decline any unreasonable return requests. we cannot cover abuse, loss or theft of items, water damage, or normal wear and tear on items. we are not responsible if a stone is lost due to bent, damaged, or worn out prongs.

we cannot offer returns or exchanges on the following:

  • items that have been resized or altered per your request
  • custom designs
  • personalized items
  • items that appear worn. all return and exchange items will be inspected before being restocked. If the item has been worn, we will be unable to honor the exchange or return request 
  • items marked “Final Sale” on the product page are not eligible for return
  • gift items included in orders

cancellations

  • Transactions canceled within 24 hours from the date of purchase will receive a full refund.
  • A 25% restocking fee is retained if a transaction is canceled more than 24 hours after the date of any custom item purchase to cover material and labor costs.
